Maple Spring Farm uses only the purest all natural ingredients for our country farm soap. All soaps are made the old fashioned way from 'scratch' from a base of all vegetable oils. This soap has an all natural base with added fragrance oils and/or essential oils and sometimes with added extra goodies like herbs or oatmeal.
The scents we offer reflect our farm and our kitchen. These are what the firsts look like:
So what is a soap ugly?? Quite simply these are seconds, testers, or scraps. They are soaps that do not pass the grade "A" quality that is required to sell as first or in retail stores. Some may be off shape, some may have too many small holes, others may have small yellow dots, some may be 'ends' and yet other are just plain ugly.
Think of it as sort of like luncheon meat ends at the grocerty store - underweight, ugly, etc....
Uglies are for people who love our soap, are not picky about the scents, and are on the frugal side (and there's nothing wrong with that!).
It is all still good soap, just not 'put the new soap in the bathroom cause company's coming' soap.
The tester scents are those scents that we've tried and have decided not to add to our regular line. Please note the 5 lb box
of soap uglies is just that a box of soap uglies. They are not individually wrapped and they are not labeled with scents.
And just to give you an idea of how much soap that is, it is equivilent to approximately 20 bars of soap, which would be $80! You save $47.00!!
